Our Story

In 2023, Shawn traveled to Grenada on a girls' trip eager to experience the island's famous Underwater Sculpture Park. Fascinated by the history and meaning behind the sculptures beneath the sea, she listened intently as the snorkel guide shared stories of the world below the surface.

That guide was Daimon.

What first caught Shawn's attention wasn't an instant spark—it was his knowledge. As he guided the group through the sculptures, it became clear that he knew far more than what could be learned from a script. His passion for Grenada, its history, and its culture brought the experience to life.

The truth is, there wasn't an immediate connection. In fact, Shawn thought Daimon was a little mean.

But at the end of the tour, he surprised her by asking if she would join him for drinks after work. What began as a simple conversation became the start of something neither of them expected.

Sometimes the most important journeys begin with a single question.

What began as a conversation after a day beneath the sea soon became something much more.

Separated by miles but connected by countless late-night conversations, Shawn and Daimon spent months falling asleep on the phone, sharing stories, dreams, and plans for the future. Despite the distance, they found ways to remain present in each other's lives, making frequent visits and creating memories whenever they could.

Together, they explored the Caribbean one island at a time.

From cultural festivals and Carnival celebrations to hidden beaches and unforgettable meals, every trip became an opportunity to learn more—not only about each other, but about the islands, traditions, and people that make the Caribbean so special.

With every flight, every visit, and every reunion, the foundation of their relationship grew stronger.

The journey was never just about the places they visited. It was about finding home in each other.

From St. George's to St. Kitts and beyond, Shawn and Daimon spent their time together embracing one of the Caribbean's most vibrant traditions—Carnival. With every island came a new rhythm, a new story, and a new way to celebrate.

Daimon, once devoted almost exclusively to J'ouvert, found himself becoming an enthusiastic Pretty Mas reveler, embracing the costumes, colors, and excitement that came with crossing the stage. Shawn, in turn, discovered the history, freedom, and spirit of Jab Jab, gaining a deeper appreciation for the traditions that make Grenadian Carnival so unique.

Together, they danced through Carnival seasons, explored festivals and cultural events, sampled local cuisine, and created memories on beaches, roads, and stages throughout the Caribbean.

What began as a shared love of travel became something more—a shared love of culture, community, and celebration.

Every island offered a different experience. Every Carnival told a different story. And with each journey, Shawn and Daimon found another reason to fall in love—not only with the Caribbean, but with each other.

From the sea to the road, every chapter led us here.

What began with a chance meeting in Grenada grew into a love story defined by adventure, distance, discovery, and unwavering commitment.

Through every flight, every farewell, every reunion, every Carnival season, and every new destination, we chose each other again and again.

Now, surrounded by our family and friends, we are excited to begin our greatest adventure yet.
